Vice President of Advancement
Position Requirements:
This is a full-time twelve-month position with regular hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position will occasionally require nights and weekends with some travel.
Position Overview:
Directly reporting to the President, the Vice President (VP) of Advancement is responsible for leading and managing all advancement programs of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School (STVM), including the annual fund, capital funds, planned giving, alumni activities, advancement services, and communications. The advancement program generates the support and philanthropic resources necessary to ensure that STVM fulfills its mission.
The VP carries out this responsibility by appropriate coordination of the time, talent, and energies of his/her own staff, the president and other administrators, the faculty and staff, the Executive Board, current parents, alumni parents, grandparents, alumni, and other volunteers.
The VP is responsible for developing a strategic vision for the department. This vision includes a plan of action for all advancement programs and related activities. Such planning is in part founded upon an annual evaluation of the various advancement programs and related activities for each fiscal year. The VP of Advancement will embrace, exemplify, and promote the school’s mission.
Staff
The VP of Advancement will carry out his/her responsibilities through and with the following full-time Advancement team: 1.) Director of Alumni Relations; 2) Advancement Associate; 3) Advancement Services Manager
Specific Responsibilities
1. With the president / Prioritize donor solicitation and stewardship
2. Lead and manage the advancement team – establish ambitious but reasonable goals and monitor progress
3. Steward donors in appropriately personal and meaningful ways
4. With the marketing team, communicate impact and mission effectively to all constituents
5. Guide and staff advancement Committee of the Executive Board
