8th Graders NOT Currently in Catholic School

We welcome applications from students in public, private, charter, and homeschool settings.

Application Timeline
STVM accepts applications for next year’s freshman class from November through May. We encourage students to apply by January 10, though applications will be accepted until May 15.

Getting Started
To apply, you must first create a Blackbaud account. This is required to complete and submit your application.

Required Documents
Before beginning the application, please have the following documents ready for upload:
  • 8th Grade – Most recent report card
  • 7th Grade – Final report card
  • Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Standardized Test Scores – Most recent MAP, Ohio State Test, Iowa, etc.
  • IEP, 504 Plan, or Other Accommodations (if applicable)
  • ETR Report (if applicable)
  • High School Placement Test Score (if taken outside STVM)
Additional Notes
  • If you already have a student at STVM, Blackbaud should recognize your email. New families will create an account before starting the application.
  • Some responses must be completed by the student, so ensure they are with you during the process.
  • You will be asked to provide email addresses for two current 8th-grade teachers in English, reading, math, science, social studies, or a language (Spanish, French, etc.) for recommendation requests.
High School Placement Test (HSPT)
  • If your child has not yet registered for the High School Placement Test, they should do so.
  • To be considered for an academic scholarship or the Intervention Program, the HSPT must be taken at STVM by November 18.
  • Students not applying for scholarships must still submit HSPT scores with their application.
  • Spring Pre-HSPT scores from 7th grade may also be considered.
Admission Criteria
STVM seeks well-rounded, hardworking students who lead by example and are eager for a challenging and fulfilling Catholic high school education. Admission decisions are based on a review of academic records and achievements.
