Senior Class Officers

The senior class officers are elected at the end of their junior year. In addition to their responsibilities as members of Student Council, they also serve their classmates in planning senior class activities. Their first major activity is the Senior Class Lock-in during Hoban Week, during which members of the senior class gather for prayer and food, as well as fun activities. As preparation for the Hoban-STVM football game, students decorate the gym and hallways in an effort to promote school spirit. The culmination of the Lock-in is Mass at St. Vincent Church the next morning, followed by breakfast at the Family Restaurant. Seniors are also involved in planning and decorating for the annual Homecoming game and dance. In December, our seniors decorate the hallways and Student Center with wreaths and garland and arrange the Nativity scene in the LRC. At the annual Senior Christmas Breakfast, each senior decorates an ornament and places it on the Christmas tree in the Student Center. They also sing carols and enjoy a visit from Santa Claus. Senior Class fundraisers have been organized in the past to aid various charitable efforts such as the victims of Hurricane Katrina. As a sign of senior class unity, each senior is entitled to wear a senior class shirt every Friday. These have been personally autographed by each member of the class. During the month of May, seniors celebrate the culmination of their high school days at the Senior Class Banquet and Alumni Farewell Mass. They are also instrumental in planning and participating in their Baccalaureate liturgy.
