October: Month of the Holy Rosary
The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7th. It was instituted to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithful.
STVM Freshmen Attend Activity Fair to Learn More About How to Get Involved at STVM!
On Monday, September 29 during homeroom, the freshman students attended an activity fair in the LeBron James Arena to hear more about the clubs and activities that we offer here at St. Vincent- St. Mary High School. Joining a club is a great way for students to get involved and connected to their school, while also making new friends.
National Honor Society’s Annual “Books for the Bahamas” Children’s Book Drive Continues until October 10
The STVM Chapter of the National Honor Society is sponsoring its annual “Books for the Bahamas” Project throughout the school. The goal of this project is to collect new or gently used children's books to send to the Bahamas Library Project.
Freshman Retreat Re-Scheduled for Monday, October 20
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the freshman retreat scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2014 will be moved to Monday, October 20, 2014. All details regarding starting time, ending time, content of retreat, etc. remain the same. The only thing changing is the date of the retreat. Click the link below for more information
2014 Homecoming Dance Information & Packet
This year's 2014 Homecoming dance will be held at Tangier from 7:00-11:00 PM. The theme is "City of Lights" and tickets can be purchased in the STVM Bookstore. The price for tickets is $45 per person. Click the link below for more information.
STVM "Laces Up" for Pediatric Cancer!
The STVM Athletic Department, via the student efforts of Rachel Iacofano is proud to announce that STVM will "Lace Up" to Cure Pediatric Cancer. Rachel, a STVM Cross Country runner, brought this campaign to the Athletic Department's attention with hopes on making this campaign a school-wide event. Thank you Rachel for helping to start our campaign!
